Inevitable's 3rd term in office was dominated by the Northern Isles independence crisis. Though the governments passed the NITI Act to try and appease the islanders, it did not work. Instead the islands held a referendum, which the separatists won, and the Union was only maintained due to the narrowness of the victory, with a decision to hold a second referendum made instead. There was also a diplomatic incident, with Autocratia bombing the Ostentian embassy in Democratia.
