Government Election[]

Party Nominations[]

Reform Party[]

The Reform Party set a new precedent in this election by holding Ostentia's first ever primaries. Prime Minister Simon Commoncold ran unopposed throughout the primary process, winning every state he contested with the exception of Olin, where he was beaten by unpledged delegates. At the party convention on 14th November, he was elected as the Reform Party candidate for Prime Minister on the first ballot of delegates.

AAPA-CCP Coalition[]

In response to the Reform Party, the Coalition ran it own primary process, with both Kay Jackson and Lord Wallace Buttersworth seeking the nomination, making it Ostentia's first contested primary. At the start of the coalition's convention on 15th November, Jackson had a plurality of delegates with 103 pledged to support him against 68 pledged to support Buttersworth. With 39 unpledged delegates initially abstaining, this left Jackson 3 votes short of a majority and he failed to win on the first ballot. At the second ballot taken 24 hours later, Jackson won 111 votes to Buttersworth's 83, securing him the nomination.

Boo Party[]

The Boo Party did not field a candidate for this election.

The Alliance[]

The Alliance also held primaries, although the process is believed to have been marred by "raiding" from opponents of the party. The process was later abandoned, leaving Carl Miller to contest the election without primary endorsement.

Plqx Candidacy[]

Shortly before the election, Plqx announced his intention to stand for the Prime Minister. Originally seen as a joke, the candidacy nevertheless quickly gained momentum.
