Open Software, Open Government Act
Open Software, Open Government Act

The Open Software, Open Government Act raised some fears over the security of free software. It went as follows:

Open Software, Open Government ActEdit

Under this bill, all governmental computers, and systems will be switched over to a free software alternative. BooOS may fill this role, however it is up to the departments in question as to which package they choose. However, all operating systems must be interoperable and able to communicate with each other. Due to the large costs of licensing fees for the proprietary software currently used, this will reduce the administration budget (I'm hoping by a unit, if that's possible). However, due to the process of converting, the current budget for administration will remain the same for the current term, to drop next term.
