The River Olin is almost entirely situated in the plains of Boondoxia. Due to the poor quality of the soil in the region, heavy industry has become vital to the economy, with the Olin playing a major part in supporting this, along with the River Mentagnus further east. Freight ships move up and down the river, bringing materials up stream, and returning with manufactured goods. Much of this is centred around Olingrad, a massive urban sprawl, with the largest concentration of factories in Ostentia. Also of massive importance is Gliosk, situated where the Olin flows into the Bay of Lemora. This is where goods are transferred between sea-faring ships too large to travel up river and the purpose-built river craft, and as such is one of the major trading ports in Ostentia.
